Julian and I are from New Zealand, we also have guest accommodation.
We were wanting to experience some Japanese accommodation and found this to suit our needs.
We found the people to be very helpful, friendly and polite at the Kyoya Ryokan.
We were delighted to be able to open the shoji screens in our room to step out into the Japanese garden which also led us to the onsen, Japanes bath house which we found to be wonderful.
We had privacy and respect and found people spoke English which helped along the way.
We would have stayed longer if we could but they were fully bookedand were kind enough to find us other wonderful accommodation

it was awesome..
the facilities were great, the room was spacious and clean, and the service was exceptional...
we needed to get to the station to catch a bus early in the morning at about 6.30 and Hiro, the owner, took us to the station with his van.. totally recommended!!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
This place was superb! Extremely great service from Mr. Hiro. Although it is a 20 minute walk from the JR station, it is definitely worth it. There is a train station 5 minutes away that allows you to get around Nagoya easily.
The facilities were great, large spacious room that we fit in 5 people easily. The onsen was a tad small so we couldn't have everyone in at the same time. Internet use, break-out areas were great.
Last thing, we even got a complementary bus ride to the JR station when we checked out. That is good service!
