This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Location is about ten minutes walk from the Orange Line but there is a bus shuttle to there from the hostel for free. Very good value for what you pay. Free computers with internet, tv, free coffee in the mornings, toilets and showers are good. Also pool table which I regret not checking out. Staff at reception are friendly and helpful and there is a leaflet for visitors about what to see and do in Boston which makes life a lot easier.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Although it is rather far out of the centre of Boston, the one redeeming service offered by the hostel itself is the shuttle bus - to the nearby commuter rail station. You can call for the shuttle when you arrive at the station and they will do individual pick ups, however, as I did not have a phone, this was something I wasn't able to take advantage of.

There was no air conditioning in any of the rooms - only one in the corridor and one in the games' room - so it got really hot inside and most people left the door open during the night in the off chance of the cool air from the one nearby air con to actually circulate inside.

In the dorm room, there is a restroom with toilet and sink, but this must be shared with the room next door by a couple of doors, so it was incredibly frustrating when someone on the other side forgot to unlock the door on our side.

Not the safest place, but also not the worst. Clean linen and a towel is given upon arrival, there is a kitchen area where people can cook and keep things refrigerated, a games room with TV and even a widescreen TV downstairs. These are the positives.

Breakfast was meant to be served every morning, but some mornings the pastries failed to materialise and the breakfast and shuttle didn't start on time which made it difficult for some people who were trying to make dates in town at certain times.

There is free wifi, they sell sodas and water for cheaper than most places - $1 - and the showers are kept clean.

Not the worst, but not the best for $40 a night.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

It doesnt have the greatest location but its not too hard to get to it, just the metro and the bus. You take a while to get to the center of the city is like 25 minutes. The rooms arent that bad, and it has comfortable spaces ti be just talking and resting, has an amazing cinema. The thing that is far away from the center is the only bad thing i think, by the other things is great.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I loved it for some reasons, and sincerely didn't for others.
I loved it because it is a cheap, very affordable hostel. It is something my parents would never do. There was a diverse, or at least, not the normal traveler/tourist at the lodge too. The lounge area, free coffee in the a.m. and shuttle service, I consistently used and loved each service.
I didn't like how far it was from Boston, a good 30 mins of train, bus, and walk. Which really doesn't work late at night because the buses stop running.

Overall, great experience. VERY AFFORDABLE. The hassle of getting there was heavily outweighed by the pros.
