About Chimbas
Chimbas is a lovely spanish mediterranean style house with all the fixings for a truly relaxing stay.
Offering nine private rooms, six of which boast private in-room bathrooms and cable TV.
We truly understand the travelers’ need for privacy and a good nights rest.
We are in a true Mendocino neighborhood. Just 10 blocks from the main Avenue (San Martin Av.) and 16 blocks from Plaza Independencia.
Available to our guests: communal kitchen, lockers, bed linens, towels, central heating, fire place, SWIMMING POOL, garden patio, parking, living room with satellite TV, free internet, wi-fi, rooms with cable tv, telephone with free local calls, and all of the information that you need.
Our Breakfast: coffee, tea, mate, homemade bread, butter, jam, and dulce de leche. Fruits in season.
We organize excursions such as: wineries tours, trips to the Andes and Aconcagua, river rafting, horseback riding, trekking, paragliding, hot springs, wineries by bike, parachuting and many other activities.

Service was friendly to the point of being obsequious (maybe they're trying to counteract the negative attack reviews on tripadvisor?). The location is on the opposite side of the city center from where you want to be (useful for being close to the bus station, but the lonely planet also warns about avoiding the vicinity of the bus station after dark, which was confirmed here), though we were given a bus card upon checkin, and busses run near constantly (leaving from the same corner on which you can find the only minimarket in the area which can put more credit on the card), which means that the location wasn't as much of an issue as it might've been. The garden was nice, if suffering a bit from street noise. Buffet breakfast was decent. Overall not a bad place, if not quite perfect either.
