This hostel felt like an apartment. There is a gorgeous view of the river and we could sit outside if we liked. The hospitality was great and the staff was more than nice. It was close to some of the museums. However, it was hard to get to the center of the city (to the coffee shops, etc) I was disappointed by the location but everything else was great.

About Amstel Riverview Bed & Coffee
Right next to the River Amstel, our new place offers the comfiest, coziest and probably the cheapest rooms you could find in Amsterdam in its price range.
We are a few minutes walk to Rembrandtplein, Heineken Museum, Rijksmuseum and other places of interest. Our rooms offer breathtaking view of the Amstel plus cable TV, DVD player, safety deposit box, free coffee and tea, free wi-fi internet and more.
There's also a shared kitchen where you can cook your meals and save extra money from eating-out.
All payments are subject to 5% tourist tax. This will be added to your payable when you arrive.

All payments are subject to 5% tourist tax. This will be added to your payable when you arrive.
CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Cancellations should be made via FAX or email , 3 days before the reserved dates.
2. After 3 days, an amount equivalent to 1 night stay will be charged.
NO SHOW
Guests will be charged the full amount of their total bill after they fail to show-up on their date of arrival.
CANCELLATION/MODIFICATION BY US
We reserve the right to cancel or modify (transfer to another accommodation/establishment) any booking due to any unforeseen circumstances (act of nature, accidents, immediate repair, etc.). In which case, we are only liable to REFUND the non-refundable deposit (for cancellations made before the reserved dates) or the REMAINING AMOUNT (for guests who are currently accommodated).
In the case of ROWDY GUESTS who caused disorder or damages, we reserve the right to immediately cancel their reservation and NEVER REFUND any amount paid to us.
MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES
We reserve the right to charge the guest's credit card due to any of the following factors:
1. UNPAID MINI-BAR CONSUMPTION. A minimum charge of Euro 25 will be charged from the guest's card, regardless of the actual amount consumed.
2. CLEANING FEE. Guests who left the room or apartment in disarray (unwashed dishes, messy floor, etc.) will be charged a minimum amount of Euro 30 to cover for cleaning services.
3. LOST KEY. All keys must be returned to the reception or left inside the room/apartment upon check-out. In case of loss, Euro 25 will be charged from the guest's credit card.
4. DAMAGES. Any damages made to our property will be charged to the guest's credit card.

Directions
From the Central Station, take TRAM 4 or 25 and alight at CEINTUURBAAN. Look for the FEBO snackbar and take the street along it (Jan van der heijdenstraat) towards the Amstel River. When you reach the end of that street you will be along the street named AMSTELDIJK. Look for our building on the left, number 22 (less than 2 minutes walk).
NOTE: The ground floor of our building is occupied by a dental office. Our guest rooms are located on the upper floors. Please ring the door to your right.
