Hanmer Springs most centrally backpackers hostel is only two minutes walk away from the famous Thermal Pools & Hot Springs.

Our small chalet style hostel if often more seen as a large home instead of a hostel.

Our rooms are all different and can sleep between 2 - 6 people each. We have a dormitory with 5 single beds (no bunks), a dormitory that can sleep 6 in 2 bunks and 2 single beds, two standard double rooms, and one double room with two extra bunk beds, which is great for families.

Our fire place will keep you warm in winter. We have possibly the best quality book exchange of any hostel in the country, many board games, cozy lounge, NO TV, great BBQ area in our lovely garden, well equipped kitchen and of course internet access.

8 on site car parks are available and for those who want to pitch a tent we have a small patch of grass available for two small tents or so.

Most important of all, we have a fantastic hostel cat called Pepper who will also ensure you have a great stay.
