It's wonderful for a hostel. The location was perfect for me, since I came to visit my boyfriend that attends NTU. It is a 5 min walk from NTU, right next to a police station (so it's safe,) surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bubble tea stands and more. The shopping street is only a block away.

About Taipei NTU House
Welcome to Taipei!
Taipei NTU Hostel is excellently located right at the heart of Taipei City, and just in the famous Gongguan business district and nightmarket, and in front of the best university in Taiwan, NTU, National Taiwan University. We are 3 minutes away to Gongguan MRT (subway in Taipei) station with water park, cinemas, department stores, supermarkets, farmer's market, vast array of food stands, restaurants, convenience stores, clothing stores, everyday item stores. It is a great base from which to explore the wonderful city of Taipei.
Taipei NTU Hostel is also close to NTNU (National Taiwan Normal University) and the famous Shida night market.

Check out of room: by 12pm midday

It's wonderful for a hostel. The location was perfect for me, since I came to visit my boyfriend that attends NTU. It is a 5 min walk from NTU, right next to a police station (so it's safe,) surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bubble tea stands and more. The shopping street is only a block away.
The cleanliness of the interior is great. It is deceptively dirty on the outside, with a distressingly obscure, dark and dreary front door, halls and elevator, yet inside it's immaculate.
It's rather on the expensive side for a hostel, around $50 a night. However each room comes with its own washroom and mini-shower. The room is decently spacious, with its own TV, closet, double-size bed, etc. My boyfriend came and stayed over a few times, and we had enough space for two!
The service is good for a hostel: they offer to bring you new towels everyday.Definitely recommended! I will stay here again, rather than the Dreaming Dragon Hostel that I moved to (to save money) on the latter half of my trip.
