About Istanbul Harmony Hostel
Our established hostel is the largest capacity dorm hostel in Turkey. All of our dorm rooms have got shower and toilet. All the rooms have got a wireless internet connection.
Each bed is covered with sheets, blankets, and a pillow. Except dorm rooms we have three private rooms. One private room is a family room which is really big with beautiful sea view. There is TV, bathroom and toilet. Another two private rooms have got more beds and are good both : for couples or small groups. Each room has got TV, private bathroom and wireless internet connection. You can get to each floor by an elevator.
During the day or the nightime our guests can enjoy the beautiful view over the Haghia Sofia, the Bosperus river or the old city of Istanbul from our roof terrace. We also offer a nargile and beer.
The Istanbul Harmony Hostel is located in the centre of Sirkeci ,the spiritual capital of old istanbul.
It is the perfect base to explore the cultural heritage of the city, which the area is famous for.
Our hostel has 3 modern dormitories, comfortable beds, and bathrooms.
On the terrace there is an opened kitchen for the customers.You can cook your meals with your friends.
Istanbul Harmony Hostel offers high standards in cleanliness, security, privacy and comfort.
To secure your belongings you can store your stuff in our safe.
We offer a quiet, intimate and relaxing atmosphere for those who want to escape from the hectic peace of Istanbul in the end of the day.
There is much delight in the panoramic views of Asian İIstanbul. Our hostel offers comfort, hospitality and our fantastic open air terrace.

The staff was so nice and friendly, really helped us with any kind of problem.
Actually, we had booked a room with private bath but what really happened that only the shower was ensuite. They accept credit card but there is a 7% extra charge that its not written anywhere.

I had a good time at Istanbul Harmony Hostel
At first sight the hostel did not match my expectations though. But I stayed there for 11 nights and saw things changing and getting better:
the showers were fixed, the girls dorm moved to the fifth floor where there are girl-only showers), Wifi was installed,...The hostel is new and the owners, a friendly young couple, are working to make the hostel match their customers expectations.
The location is superb. Very close to the tramstation and Sultanahmet and very close to the ferries. Enough places to eat and shops in the neighbourhood.
Cleanliness. Some days good, other days the cleaning could be better. Anyway it's an enormous work to get the cleaningjob done (carpets,...).
Facilities: there's air conditioning, but not yet in every room. very good and new mattressess, good working hot showers (most with good shower heads). breakfast, Wifi & use of the computer of the hostel. Fridge available for customers, a nice roofterras, nargile, a safe for valuables and every week the hostel organises a barbecue which was very good.
Service: you have to pass through the carpetshop downstairs to get to the rooms, which feels a bit strange at first.
the reception desk is at the sixth floor. -would make more sense downstairs in the shop-
When arriving (at nine in the evening) I did not get information about the hostel (where is the reception, use of computer, breakfast, houserules,...), but in general the staff was very helpfull and tried to find an answer to all my questions (about the hostel, about Istanbul,...)In general:
This starting hostel is very good value for money. the owners and staff are friendly and they want this place to become a second home for their customers. So if you're on a budget and if you don't mind to sleep in large dorms, then I would certainly give this hostel a try.
