At first I was a bit disappointed coz I booked the Funk Hostel because of its location but then I was moved to the Funk Lounge for some reason.
But in the end I found great people there and we had pancakes for breakfast! (the other breakfasts were very tasty as well- omlette, toast.

Funk hostel is centrally located and within walking distance to "Old City of Zagreb" and the best nightlife & clubs on the lake "Jarun". With the transportation right to our doorstep, Zagreb is easily accessible and ready for you to explore!
The original artwork and messages written by previous guests grace the wall of the hostel's bar & reception where you can easily meet other travellers. In our basement lounge room you can relax with a good movie or party all night! What happens in basement stays in basement! ;)

Location Information
From main train station :
Take a tram number 4 (direction Savski most), and get off on the 4th station (Zagrepcanka). Turn around and you will see a white business tower, cross the street in that direction and walk 100 meters along Ulica Grada Vukovara and on the right side is Poljicka Street where our hostel is located on number 13a. Or you can just follow the yellow footprints from tram station to our Funk hostel!
From main bus station:
Take a tram number 5 (direction Precko), you get off on the 7th station (Zagrepcanka). Turn around and you will see a white business tower, cross the street in that direction and walk 100 meters along ulica Grada Vukovara and on the right side is Poljicka Street where our hostel is located on number 13a. Or you can just follow the yellow footprints from tram station to our Funk hostel!
With car:
It depends of direction from which you approach the city. Hostel is situated just outside the city center. Streets that drive to hostel are Savska and right turn to ulica Grada Vukovara and after 100 meters on the right is Poljicka street where our hostel is located on number 13a.
From the airport:
If you arrive by plane and land on the Zagreb Pleso Airport, you are about 20 km from the heart of Zagreb. You can take a taxi (€ 14) or the inexpensive (€ 4) Croatia Airlines bus which takes you to the main bus station in Zagreb.

At first I was a bit disappointed coz I booked the Funk Hostel because of its location but then I was moved to the Funk Lounge for some reason.

The staff adviced us to go to the Museum of Broken Relationships and it was amazing.
Everyone was nice and we enjoyed our free rakija shot, too

The people of the hostel were incredible with us, specially a guy named Kristijan, who spend a lot of time explaining about the country, places to visit, were to go after zagreb... Arrive to this hostel, and meet these people has truthly changed our trip!!!!!!
And of course, the hostel worth it, there's a special atmosphere, and the bedrooms are so clean and so nice. We really enjoyed our time there!!!

It wasn't hard to find the hostal I found a sign in a corner and went in that direction. The rooms were very nice and clean, it has all the neccesary things for a comfortable stay, the only thing is that the stairs had a weird smell, for anything else the place is great, good enviroment, the receptionist was very attentive and she's very pretty too, only good things to say about this place.

the facilities and bedrooms are great, and if you take the tram you'd be at the very center of zagreb in 6 minutes. the lake in summer is great and it isn't far either.
With all that already would be a nice hostel choice, But what really makes this Hostel unique is the superb staff!! they are young, amazing, incredibly helpful, friendly... probably the best you' ll find in your whole trip!! highly recommended hostel!
