The hotel was not fancy but nice. Staff were friendly and spoke English. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with a small pool, and a yummy breakfast was served there. The town of Alajuela was fun to walk around in the next morning before I left.

The hotel was not fancy but nice. Staff were friendly and spoke English. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with a small pool, and a yummy breakfast was served there. The town of Alajuela was fun to walk around in the next morning before I left. The hotel attracts many foreigners, who were friendly and have stayed there before. I would stay again if I were in the San Jose area.

The only complaint was that there are no street signs in Alejuela, so it was difficult to find. The staff was GREAT! very helpful with helping us plan our trip. The rooms were clean, but simple. The garden/pool area was very relaxing, especially with being in the city. The breakfast was great. Cannot say enough.
