Affordable self-catering cottage studios in beautiful Santa Barbara, 3 blocks from the beach & from State Street, the heart of shopping, dining and nightlife. This small complex has an international vibe and a pleasant outside courtyard to chat with other guests.

In the summer, visit our cottage studios as an affordable alternative to a hotel or hostel.

Dorm style and traditional rooms are available in this small complex with a hostel feel.

Simple furnishings and check-in off-site (at the SB Tourist Hostel, up to 23:15pm, call us if arriving later, 134 Chapala Street, opposite Amrak train station) mean we can keep our prices down in this expensive town! Studios have either a double bed or a queen size bed and are for 1 or 2 persons.

For up to 4 persons, we have a few studios with either a double or queen size bed and 2 bunk beds.

Our cottage studios come furnished & with a kitchen equipped with the basics to make a meal & bathroom with toilet & shower. We are like a hotel but not a hotel - you check-in off-site at the friendly Santa Barbara Tourist Hostel to get your key (until 10:15pm, call us if arriving later), and the room is clean with fresh towels and the bed is made. You are then independent and most likely only see us again at check out.

Amtrak train station: Directly across from us. The Greyhound bus station is as well. Handy ? For sure.

Travelling by car? If you come from the south> On the 101, take the exit at Cabrillo Blvd, go left and follow beachfront past State Street, take the next right on Chapala Street, and we are 2 blocks up on the right.

Driving from the North?> Exit the 101 at Garden Street. and turn right, follow to the beach, turn right on Cabrillo Blvd, pass State Street and take the next right on Chapala Street. Find us 2 blocks up on the right, at Yanonali Street
