However, it failed to get the balance right, offering ornate architecture and waitress service, but very strange en-suite in the room and slow internet access which was not available in the room.

As a budget place not too far from the centre in a quiet place, this was fine.
However, it failed to get the balance right, offering ornate architecture and waitress service, but very strange en-suite in the room and slow internet access which was not available in the room.
The wall between the room and the en-suite was so thin you could hear clearly what the person was doing in the shower/loo and we had to call someone to fix the drain.
However, given the price of some other places, this was good value for Marrakesh and a good venue if you want a quiet retreat with a nice garden during a longer visit. It's in a new middle-class area with a small supermarket a few doors away and a pizza place down the road.
