AROUND KADIKOY
Kadikoy is a large cosmopolitan district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey, on the shore of Sea of Marmara. Since the very early ages, Kadikoy has had a great scene for entertainment. Its narrow streets are adorned with varieties of cafs, bars and restaurants.
With its graceful minarets, fountains, tombs, churches, Turkish Baths, pavilions, quays, monuments and parks; Kadikoy is where history meets the current civilization.
Moda Cape, Kalamis, and Fenerbahce inlets, with their individuality and elegance are some of the most important areas of the district. Bagdat street is also located in this area and is a popular location with all ages.
What makes Kadikoy so unique is its location. In this mystifying city, Kadikoy plays the role of a doorway to the Bosphorus with its modern transportation facilities on rail, water and land.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
This is an unusual hostel, on the Asian side of Istanbul. It's an interesting place, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The people who use it are a bit more sensible and wordly-wise than some of those who use hostels on the European side.
It's very good value. Breakfast is quite good, but no yoghurt or juice. You can easily get such things yourself fron nearby shops, if you want. Don't be put off by it being on the Asian side. And the boat ride across the water for TL2 is just wonderful! Food on the Asian side is just as easily obtained, and cheaper. You won't have much hassle with hawkers trying to sell you things.
Also very good for couples and families.
We spend a couple of nights there because our flight from Europe landed at SAW, the Asian-side airport. We had no problem catching the local bus from the airport to Kadikoy and finding the hostel. It cost TL5, and you buy a card at the kiosk just across from the airport entrance where the E-10 bus stops.
Perfect place to stay on the Asian side of Istanbul! Very close to ferry for the European side. Very friendly and helpful young staff. Kitchen, lounges, excellent music, wifi connection. Quiet place. Feels like home!
Its not that i was too lazy to set the stars right: This hostel was the best one that i´ve visited in istanbul. The showers are great, the staff is friendly and very helpfull, the beds are quiete confortable...
And if it happens to rain and ur forced to stay inside, u´ll find plenty of activities to kill time (board games, tv, dvd (movies), even wii, internet, social room,...)
I can definitly recommend this hostel!
