Petra Camp, which has been under the same management for over 20 years is located in Tarabine, in the South Sinai on the edge of the Red Sea.
This family run Bedouin style beach camp is composed of small air-conditioned cabins located just steps from the water.
A few hours from Cairo and less than one hour from Dahab, Petra Camp is paradise for everyone looking to have a good rest and a fun holiday in a relaxing, happy and stress-free environment.
Petra Camp offers a variety of Bedouin lounges right on the sea which makes it the ideal place to lounge, tan or relax after snorkeling in the variety of coral reefs just meters from the shore.
Petra Camp is renowned for it's amazing restaurant that serves a wide variety of dishes, made to order, ranging from Egyptian to Western and the restaurant's fresh made and chilled juices are always available. It is open from 9:00 to 24:00.
Also available to our visitors are a variety of enjoyable trips that can be taken in the area: Petra (Jordan); Mount Catherine; the Colored Canyon and Dahab. Our attentive staff will gladly arrange an excursion for you at your request.

Directions
From Cairo : three daily 'East delta' buses leave 'Turgoman station' at 6:30am, 9:30am and 10pm (schedules might change, so check ahead of time !). Prices around 75E (for a 550-km trip). Don't forget to ask the bus driver to stop at Tarabine village !
From Sharm el Sheikh, Dahab : you can take a private taxi (expect to pay around 150EP from Dahab to Nuweiba). There are also several buses to Nuweiba Port during the day and tickets are cheap (around 10EP from Dahab). After that, either take a private taxi (around 20EP) or a minibus (5 to 10EP), from Nuweiba Port to Tarabine.
