Budget Accommodation Asia Vietnam Hanoi Budget Hotels Hanoi Amazing Hotel
When you book a standard room on the internet you will recceive a room in the middle of the hotel with no window to the outside world. This is not special to this hotel, but happens all over Vietnam. Staff offered me a better room than i booked at no extra expense, as long as it wasavailable.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
I stayed at the Amazing Hotel in 2009 - they were just opening the hotel at that time (they actually pulled me in off the street). This place has some nicely furnished rooms, and gives above average service. I paid $25. for a medium size room, and later $20. for a smaller one. I am quite a picky customer when it comes to hotels, and I've stayed in at least 8 different places in Hanoi. For $25. the Amazing was a bargain, but for $60. that $25. room is overpriced. Windows are rather small here, and the view out of that window was pretty poor. The free breakfast on their rooftop restaurant was hardly worth taking the elevator up to the roof (it did have a great view of the city!) I never saw a small hotel with more employees, and they greeted me constantly (too much!)

During this period of 2010 you might want to avoid this hotel until the drilling of concretenext door (demolishing a house) is finished.
It seems the staff member who provides tour information, Mrs. Tran (black Hmong herself) is very well informed about trips around Sapa, which are not the standard tips offered by anyone else in Hanoi. This is really a bonuspoint if you are eally interested in teh minority people and their culture in teh North of Vietnam.
Truely a gem. I have stayed in 2 other hotels here in Vietnam, but this one comes highly recommended. I would stay here next time I visit Vietnam, no problems. It may be a little more expensive, but is certainly worth it. The staff are 'AMAZING' especially Hue. Taxi to and from airport $US14. each way. Everything works unlike other hotels. Great computer room with high speed internet. Most important, they have a lift to the 7th floor. A 4star accomodation with a 2 star price.
Great little hotel in a excellent location. Very helpful staff, i had a bad back during my stay and the door man came to the pharmacy with me and helped me get some pain killers. Would definitely stay again.
