This is a Trusted Review. Why?
Let me start by saying that I am acustom to normally staying in 3-4 star hotels when I travel. This is my first experience in a hostel. All I can say is WOW!!
As soon as I stepped through the front door I was warmly greeted by Robert and his staff, with a hi and how about a cool larger to quench your thirst. great first impression. The Hostel is just relatively new as they only just opened up last month but seem to be attracting a very good crowd.

Novy Arbat... Moscow's newest and largest hostel, able to accommodate up to 120 guests, from single travelers to large groups!
We are determined to offer the best hostel experience in all of Moscow, to make your stay in the city memorable and pleasant. We have tried to create an environment where you will enjoy spending your time with us, as much as wandering through this very interesting city. And if you're with us on the weekend, don't miss our cocktail party venues.
And good news, whether you're a smoker or a non-smoker. We have created a special smoking room, where our smoking guests can socialize, while allowing our other guests to enjoy a smoke-free environment.
We have a large kitchen available to you, a huge living room and coffee bar where you can mingle with your new friends or wander through our two floors to enjoy the phenomenal views looking down onto the New Arbat. With fourteen separate rooms, we can offer you a choice of private rooms, mixed accommodations, or separate women's and men's rooms.

The service and attitude of the staff has been excellent and very helpful. I would highly recomend this hostel to any one looking for a place to rest their head and wanting to still be able to have the occasional conversation over breakfeast or a Larger and is cheerfulness and location ( Smack in the middle of Moscow) just add to the experience, and from what I have seen they are very keenly priced.
The only problem that I have had thus far is that at this time they are still installing the second floor shower. This is due to be completed in the next day or so.
Personally I have really enjoyed the New Arbat experience. I would like to thank all the staff for all their assistance in my stay and helping make my time in moscow a special one.

Take the Metro to the Arbatskaya station on the DARK BLUE line.
1. Leaving the metro station:
If you arrive at either the 'Biblioteka imeni Lenina' or 'Borovitskaya' station, be SURE to transfer to and exit from the Arbatskaya station! After you ride the escalator to the top, leave the building, turn left and walk straight until you reach the pedestrian underpass (30 meters).
Descend into the underpass, make an immediate right turn and cross under the street (that is Novy Arbat street!). Ascend and exit to the left. Cross the small street at the zebra crossing and then walk straight up Novy Arbat.
To be sure you are oriented correctly, you should be walking along the right side of Novy Arbat Street. On your right, you should have an old Russian Orthodox church. On the other side of the Novy Arbat street, you should see a row of four identical, very tall buildings. We are on the right side of Novy Arbat, across from the second tall builing.
2. Finding us on Novy Arbat Street:
As you walk along, on your right you will pass first the Russian church, then a giant bookstore, then a Japanese restaurant (Yakotoria), then T.G.I. Fridays (a restaurant), and finally, PromsviazBank (ПромсвязьБанк). Although we are on Novy Arbat Street, our entrance is from the small street behind the building, Bolshaya Molchanovka. There is an arch just to the left of PromsviazBank that takes you there. Go through the arch and turn left. Walk about 40 steps and on your left, you will see our big, brown door. Ring the bell and the security guard will let you in.
Take the elevator to the 5th floor, where we will be waiting to greet you!
