Budget Accommodation Europe France Paris Budget Hotels Hotel Petit Trianon
Good points: great location, really central so short walk to all sorts of things including Metro station at the end of the street (2 min walk).
Friendly and helpful staff who speak enough English to help if you need it.
Price was reasonable given the location.
Small and welcoming, the Hotel le Petit Trianon is located in the heart of Paris, in one of the most emblematic: the Latin Quarter, hub of nightlife and the city's intellectual light. A place filled with famous jazz rooms and online clubs, such as the 'Caveau de la Huchette.
There is also the famous brasserie 'Le Procope' strategic point during the French Revolution, or attractions such as the Louvre Museum, very close, and the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris. Thanks to its strategic location, you will access to major attractions such as the Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries gardens, the Jeu de Paume and the Champs Elysees.
The hotel, a typical Parisian residence by its decoration and its architecture, has 14 convenient rooms, many with balcony and a view over Notre-Dame, singles, doubles and triples, including a full bathroom with shower or bathtub, a wifi connection Internet and heating.
The reception, located on the first floor, is available from 7 to 23h. In addition, visitors can have breakfast (not included in the price), if they wish, at the bar in the hotel, since there is an agreement between the two institutions. We could say that this is the perfect accommodation for young people, young at heart too, backpackers and tourists with a small budget. It is also an ideal place for those who wish to live an authentic Parisian experience.
The best option for an economic stay in the French capital !

Price was reasonable given the location.Bad points:
Central location = very very noisy, don't expect to get much sleep especially on weekends. The hotel is above one cafe/bar with another located over the road, so it was really noisy and this slightly spoiled the break.
Central location = 'colourful' noisy drunks/mad people shouting and raving at 3am about 'the Americans' and 'the Russians' - I know you get this in any city but the bars mentioned here attract wholesome clientele, who in turn attract the attention of mad/drunk people.
We booked two rooms (two couples staying) and got 3 and 4. Each room had a locked door, but the door had to be actually locked to stay shut i.e. you couldn't just push it closed, it kept swinging open.
Room 3 in particular was quite dusty and the mirror looked like it hadn't been dusted in years.
The bedcovers: top blanket/cover has (cigarette burn?) holes in it, the white sheets were just long enough for the bed (I like to pull 'em over my head and snuggle and I couldn't do that at all).
The bathroom in room 4 was really narrow so anyone over average size might have trouble getting in and out of there.
Personally I would pay a bit more next time and get something a bit better. It was the first time my parents had been to Paris (I was showing them round) and they loved the location despite the noise, and want to go back, but next time we'll look for somewhere down a courtyard or set back from the road in a quieter street.
