Paraty's historical city is very known by its natural beauties. Located in the Green Coast region, in the south coastline of the State of Rio of Janeiro, Paraty possesses paths, waterfalls, paradisaical places for skin-diving and beaches that are considered some of the best of Brazil.

However, nature is not the only attraction of Paraty, the city is also famous by its varied cultural activities such as the International Literary Festival of Paraty, Music, Cinema, Art, Theatre and Cooking Festivals and Pinga Fest (typical drink of the region, the cachaça), that shooks the city all the year.

In Che Lagarto we offer you walks along the best beaches, baths in the waterfalls, visits to alembics of cachaça, barbecues by the swimming pool and a lot of fun. Besides, a lot of adventure sports can be practiced, as rappel, cascading, canyonnig, bike and horse rides, arvorismo, surf lessons and boat rides along the bays and Paraty's islands. We can guarantee that you are going to be charmed with Paraty's marvels and Che Lagarto's activities.

At night before heading for the Historical Centre our bar is one of the best choices, always filled up with nice people, good music, parties and barbecues by the pool. And the Historical Centre itself has a huge variety of bars, restaurants and traditional city parties that will make Paraty nights unforgettable.

As we are a hostel chain our rates are in American Dollars, so the best for you once in the hostel is to pay in dollars, because our rate exchange is 2.05 R$ = 1 usd

NEW YEAR: we only accept 5 days package, prior confirmed reservation, and a full prepayment is needed in order to warranty the booking, after booking the Hostel will contact you for the prepayment details
CARNAVAL:we only accept 6 days package, prior confirmed reservation, and a full prepayment is needed in order to warranty the booking, after booking the Hostel will contact you for the prepayment details

Important information:
Even if the booking engine allows you to book less nights for the Carnival and New Year's Packages, your booking will not be valid if you do not book the whole package. (which means you will lose the deposit paid).

New Years Package 2012 (4 nights - 30/12-02/01/2012)
Carnaval Package 2012 (6nights - 16/02-22/02)
Bookings for New Year or Carnival must be for the whole period of the package, any booking that breaks into the New Year's or Carnival dates
will be automatically cancelled and the deposit amount not refunded and we are going to contact you about the payment from the whole package.

Please, make sure you READ CANCELLATION POLICY and IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE you book.
Booking terms and conditions: special packages Carnival and New Year.
Cancellations:

If the booking is cancelled 30 days before or the check in date, 70% of the deposit should be refund.
If the booking is cancelled between 29 and 15 days before the check in date, 50% of the deposit should be refund.
If the booking is cancelled 15 days before the check in date, there won´t be a refund.
Cancellations request should be made directly through Che Lagarto Reservations Desk (reservas@chelagarto.com).
Once in the hostel, if the passenger wants to leave before the booking date of check out, there won´t be a refund.
NO SHOW
If the passengers don´t arrive to the hostel in the date of its booking the bed or room booked will be available for 24 hours from the check in time. After this 24 hours the booking will be cancelled and the deposit won´t be refundable.
