About Helmers-Inn

Welcome to Amsterdam! We look forward to welcoming you as a guest at this beautiful historic building where you can savour the atmosphere of Amsterdam and experience Amsterdam life.

Staying in this superbly renovated 19th century building just outside the central canal system means staying in a top location in Amsterdam. The building, which has recently been listed in order to preserve its unique character for the city, is at walking distance from the Vondelpark, Leidseplein, Museumplein and Amsterdam city centre.

Helmers-Inn consists of two spacious double rooms with high, authentically decorated ceilings and comfortable beds. In addition, one of the rooms has folding doors leading onto a wonderfully roomy terrace. The rooms share a luxurious bathroom with separate shower and bath. There are two separate toilets.

This 'mini - hotel' lies in the heart of the friendly Old West district of Amsterdam, which has coffee shops, trendy restaurants, cosy lunchrooms and gastro cafes on every corner. The Vondelpark, a mere three minutes' walk away, itself offers a number of pleasant eateries. As such, we do not offer a breakfast service. There is no better way to get to know Amsterdam than by breakfasting among Amsterdammers! Each room has a fridge and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Met the owner by chance, real nice guy, just likes the idea of letting his house out to holiday makers. No kitchen, loads of eating places in town and locally.Perfect for family,or group of friends wanting very reasonably priced nice place to stay.In residential area with residential neighbours above and below and either side,so if your'e in to late night partying would cause issues and possibly ruin a good little place to stay.Steve and Gemma.

From Utrecht by car
From Utrecht, take the A2 towards Amsterdam. When you reach Amsterdam, follow the Ring A10-Zuid orbital motorway towards Den Haag. After a few kilometres, stay on the Ring, now following the signs for Zaandam (Ring A10-West). Once you are on the Ring A10-West, take the first turning, signposted S106. At the traffic lights, turn right. Continue straight ahead for 3 sets of lights (straight across Surinameplein) and then cross the bridge. After this bridge, you can no longer go straight ahead so instead turn left onto Overtoom. At the third set of lights (some of which may not be operational), turn left. This is Tweede Constantijn Huygensstraat. Take the first turning on the right onto Eerste Helmersstraat. After 100 metres, you will find Helmers-Inn at number 69 on your right-hand side. Please ring the bell at the right-hand green door.
