Welcome to the land of 333 days sunshine a year! Experience completely different geography to the garden route, stroke a white tiger, baby/adult cheetahs, dive with a 4m crocodile, explore the magnificent cango caves, ride an ostrich, eat an ostrich (yum!), awesome mountain passes/scenic red hill drives (you can see 2 amazing mountain passes and do a circle so no backtracking), stunning waterfall picnic spots, 30 min drive from mouth watering vineyards (cheap yet excellent wines) & natural thermal baths (nice!). Crystal clear star gazing opportunities (we’ll take you out to watch shooting stars whilst you shoot shots and get starry eyed by the campfire!) and free African drumming lessons (far away from other people though because some people hate it!!). We’re less than 1 hour from George airport and the start of the garden route. Also from June to December we can take you to an unspoilt, undiscovered gem of a place (even locals don’t know about it!!) for awesome scenery and land based whale watching with your own personal guide (4 guides if you count 3 golden retriever dogs!). Get great advice from someone who’s travelled extensively through S.A & many other countries and give you tips on the must see places, plan your trip and how to do it cheaply as possible with maximum fun!!! So come chill in our pool at our pristine, brand spanking new hostel (as stated...brand new hostel so soft new bedding and no saggy mattresses!). A smaller place (more time for guests and more intimate service) but a giant for character and travel advice! Small restaurant ranging from Sunday roasts to full English breakfast to Indian curries or Thai stir fry to ostrich braai (BBQ to non South Africans!). Our neighbour makes wonderful handmade belgian chocolates which frankly can't be beaten so choc lovers beware! So come to the sun and let us tell you more about our wonderful area and make sure you get the best of your time in S.A. See you soon
