The city of Mina Clavero is the most emblematic destination of the Valle de Traslasierra, in the west of Córdoba province. Located amid the mountain ranges of "Achala" and "de Pocho" at 920 meters above sea level, it has a gifted climate due to the amount of warm days and cool nights with low percentages of humidity.

Mina Cavero offers the possibility of enjoying hiking, horse riding, ecotourism, mountain bike rides, fourtrax motorcycles, paragliding panoramic flights, fishing from a boat in the lake, visits to archaeological sites or to beaches beside the most clear and limpid water. At night, one can go to discos, pubs, a casino or a bingo.

Location Information

Mina Clavero is 170km southwest of Córdoba via RN 20, the splendid Nuevo Camino de las Altas Cumbres (Highway of the High Peaks). It sits at the confluence of Río de Los Sauces and Río Panaholma, in the Valle de Traslasierra.

The bus terminal (Mitre 1191) is across the Río Mina Clavero from the town center. There are several daily buses to Córdoba (AR$20, three hours), Villa Carlos Paz (AR$14, 2½ hours) and at least three a day to Merlo (AR$17, 2½ to three hours). Minibuses to Córdoba are faster (AR$20, 2½ hours). TAC (470420) has daily service to Buenos Aires (AR$90, 13 hours). For destinations in San Juan and Mendoza, go to nearby Villa Dolores (AR$6, one hour).
