Newly opened youth hostel Cairo Stars Hostel is located in central Cairo, in the heart of our magical and timeless Egyptian capital.
Our rooms feature bathrooms, air-conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Our hostel also has a great cafe where you can check your mail or have tea and a meal with our other residents. The staff at our 24-hour reception are happy to help you arrange tours of Cairo!
We're only 15 minutes walk to the Egyptian Museum, and a short distance from Coptic Cairo, the citadel or the famous Khan al-Khalili bazaar. We're surrounded by many shops, restaurants and tea-houses.
If you book a private room in our hostel for at least three nights, we can pick you up from Cairo International Airport for free. Just let us know the time of your arrival ahead of time and we will make sure you come safely to us.
Stayed at the "Cairo Stars" Hotel. Excellent place for relaxing. My room was very clean. Had an A/C and a sat TV. Wi - Fi speed was awesome. All staff members from the cleaning person to the owner, Mr. Selim, were extremely cordial, courteous, and helpful day and night. Nobody was trying to "push" their tours on me, once they found out I didn't need any sightseeing. Even though I didn't need any tour during this visit, the prices they quoted were much better than those I've was literally tried to be "pressed" to buy at the Cairo International Airport (CAI), by street hustlers, and some other hotels.
I didn't have to remind the "Cairo Stars" Hotel staff about my breakfast umpteen times a day, and the breakfast was adequate: 2 jams, 2 mini - baguettes, and cream cheese (almost tastes like Philadelphia cream cheese or Laughing Cows. Their kitchen was always clean, TV (LCD), which was hung in the kitchen/common area was NOT ever blaring. Reception area was always clean. Despite the fact of "chainsmoking" in Cairo, didn't see too many of those congregating in the reception area or in the kitchen.
Definitely, would stay at "Cairo Stars" next time I would be in Egypt!
Absolutely, recommend it to everyone!
This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We stayed in the hostel in January 2013. We lived in a private room with bathroom, with windows to the street and free wifi. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel you are wrong. But if you want to live with the people in Cairo you are invitet to be part of the family with stuff and guests in the hostel. You can get any help you need for your stay in Cairo and Egypt. When we left to Luxor, we had to say good bye to many good friends.
