the joung lady owner was not very nice. only when i came to pay the bill...after a two weeks stay.. For the other contact moments she was very closed and short in words. not uncorrect, but not correct either. same as a young girl working there: not more in touch than neccessary.
the old woman - probably the former generation owner - was almost every day there and very kind but unfortunetly not really active anymore. the husband of the young lady was kind but i only dealed with him once -unfortunatly.
there was a very kind man working - middle aged - who really understands his work. he was interested and communicative. he was the only one that spoke some words in other lanquages. the 'princesses'didn't.
the atmosphere is very nice- in the way that it was a warm feeling style and very spanish. exactly what i searched for.
the fact that the hostal is located so close to the main viewing points of Seville and still in a rather quiet street was very nice. but that's for most hotels and hostals in this city.
the rooms were clean and the cleaningladies very kind and flexibel in timing.
the water of the shower took - except in the mornings- very long to get warm... 5 minutes at least...very frustrating because its such a waist of time to let it go..
the breakfast was simple and ok. some roasted bread ham cheese and coffee and juice. sometimes there was fresh fruit, sometimes not.
spanish..

Corral del Rey 22
Is located in the monumental centre of Seville in a seventeenth century palace. Recently restores and transformed into a hostal, it nestled in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood among typical narrow streets. The hostal is only 150 meters away from the Cathedral with its Giralda (bell tower), the Alczar (Royal Palace), the Archives of the Indies and very near the Real Maestranza Bull Ring. Thirty-six comfortable air-conditioned rooms with bath surround a typical Andalucia patio where visitors can enjoy with luxuriously carved, eighteenth century woodwork. Traditional Seville ceramics are on exhibit. The hostal has telephones, bar, cafeteria and garage. At the 'Don Melquiades' Restaurant, guests can savour home style Andalusian cooking and traditional Seville 'Tapas'.Cancellation policy: 72hrsSpecial conditions for Easter and Feria de AbrilFrom April 1st to 9th and from April 23rd to 30thPayment: the first night will be charged after the booking was madeCancellation: within a month, if not a cancellation fee will be applied
