This is a Trusted Review. Why?
Having backpacked my way around quite a bit, often on a tight budget, I would say I have seen some fairly dark and dingy rooms... However this was probably a little too dark, dirty and dingy even for me!
Main gripes: the room stank and had to bE aired before safe entry, general hygiene/cleaning levels very very poor and although I wasn't too fussed about the fact thEre was no hot water, there wasbarely a trickle from the shower so showering was not an option!
However, to it's credit, it referred us to a guy called Norman, for us to chat to re: safaris and organising the rest of our trip (we had nothing booked and were doing it all as we went). Norman turned out to be really useful, and we booked a great safari with him, great experience and actually really cheap! So have to thank Safari for that, even if we chose not to stay there a second night!
