Welcome to the Rock & Bowl!
Also known as \'The Lanes Hostel\'
In a huge 1930\'s building in the heart of Bristol you\'ll find our hostel, the Lanes bar & bowling alley, plus the GimmeShelter Vintage shop all in one!
We\'ve got 24/7 reception hours - you can check in at any time after 2pm check out anytime before 12pm. You\'ll just need your passport/identity card with you to gain access to our facilities and deals in the Lanes

As we\'re above a lively music venue and bowling alley (Friday and Saturday) we\'ve teamed up to make sure our guests get the best deals. Guests have free entry to the Lanes and your first beer is only £2. We also offer a 20% discount on the pizzas, bowling and karaoke so you can join in the fun.
Please note that parking in the city centre can be very expensive and we can\'t offer any free parking.
There are no lockers in the room, however, we have luggage storage by reception and secure storage for expensive items/documents behind reception.
Email/call us directly for space hire, weekly rates or group bookings as we have different terms and conditions for these.
We hire towels and foreign electrical adaptors, deposits are required. We also have earplugs at reception.
Under-18s only accepted midweek. They must be in a private room and accompanied by adults.

Please note: Read the notes below carefully as in the event of a false booking, there will be no check in or refund.
48 hours notice of cancellation is required.
- Check in is after 2pm
- Check out is before 12pm
- we cannot accept persons travelling with pets
- Large groups of malesare only accepted at managers' discretion
- A deposit of £20 per person is taken from groups (6+) on arrival.
- Under-18s only accepted midweek. They must be in a private room and accompanied by adults.
- Maximum nights for one booking of more than 7 days.
- A valid passport, national identity card (or a UK drivers' licence) is required from each guest upon arrival.
- All nights of accommodation must be paid for on arrival.
- It is illegal to smoke anywhere in the Rock n Bowl premises, if you are found smoking you will be fined £100 and evicted immediately.
- Zero drugs policy - anyone found in the possession of drugs will be reported to the police and evicted immediately.
- You receive 20% off food and bowling in The Lanes.
- Only paying hostel guests are allowed upstairs
- Please always shut doors behind you do not hold them open for other people unless you are sure they are a hostel guest.
- If you notice any suspicious behaviour, please inform a member of staff immediately.
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated, if we feel you are behaving in such a way you will be asked to leave with no refund and the police may be called.
Please look after your belongings as we do not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property.
We make every effort to accommodate you in the dormitory size of your choice and put group bookings in the same rooms. However, because of the nature of our business, we may have to place you in different sized dormitory or groups may be put in different dorms. As a result the balance to be paid upon arrival can be slightly different from what is stated on your confirmation.

When making a reservation by email, please ensure you fill in all the information required. If you do not receive a personal email from one of our staff this means you booking may have been not be confirmed.
Please note: Rock n Bowl Hostel staff reserve the right to refuse accommodation or evict without a reason.

We NEVER stayed in such a hostel. It was extremly dirty espacially, the toilets,they were also broken,we didn`t even had blankets, no plugs, carpet was really dirty. It was extrem discusting. WE WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!
Just back from the Rock N Bowl Youth Hosel in Bristol.
Its a big building yet was a bit hard to find. Once in the hostel is up 2 flights of wide stairs. Luggage store on ground floor. Showers are just about ok. Common room was exellent and a small kitchen was evident. As we were with a Uni group our requrements of the Rock Bowl backackers weere limited. Location Location Location was the key. Nice coffee was a plus!
