It's been a while since I stayed here but it was a nice hostel. The pool especially makes this place on a hot day! It was within walking distance of El Pueblo, but I don't remember the location being that fantastic compared to earlier stays in San Jose.

Can't believe it's been ages since I've stayed there but I have great memories of the time I spend at Costa Rica Backpackers. Rooms and facilities were clean, staff was friendly and helpful (they organized a taxi to the airport for us in the middle of the night) and generally there was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hostel. The swimming pool was definitely another highlight on a hot day!
