Most awesome thing about this hostel was that there was happy hour every night and every guest was entitled to one free drink. Also, there were free international calls and a very nicely done up common area on the first floor. Located very near the airport, about 2 mins away by taxi. Bathrooms were ensuite. Very friendly staff, who were able to speak very good english, so it was easy to get directions and recommendations around the island.

Nice stay at the guesthouse. It's effort is obvious to see that it provides to meets the travellers' needs in affordable price. It also cover for family needs.

During my stay, I noticed there were left over used plates in the basin, which is supposed to be washed by the user. Do not know how to suggest not to have this issues.

Free drink idea is a warm gesture to visitor.

Thanks.

Aung.

The biggest feature about this guesthouse is the very large common room, which was a great place to relax and meet the other guests. (You could even play the guitar, or board games supplied there!) In addition, the common room housed three computers with internet access available, a large flat screen TV with huge soft couches to view from, an eating area, and large kitchen where you could easily cook your own food if you so desired. Breakfast is free and available up until 11am. A big "Thumbs up" to the common room - best we've seen.

On the other hand, the rooms themselves were nothing special. The bed was rather hard, the decor was old and when first entering the room, thought the floor was bare floor boards - discovered that this was actually unsealed wooden tiles that cheapened the whole look of the room. Consequently, thought it was silly taking one's shoes off at the door. I don't know what the dormitories were like, but I assume the decor was similar.

It was rather noisy just before everyone went to bed and again in the morning as the noise echoed up the stairs and along the corridors, and the main room doors made a deep resounding 'boom' when being closed.

Only small hand towels are supplied and these are not changed. There is a deposit paid for them and the key so must be handed back with the key when checking out to have your deposit returned. Only soap and shampoo supplied (Not new either).

The local bus station is only a couple of blocks away, so this makes the location great for access to tourist destinations. Unfortunately the directions "only 3 minutes walk" given here on this web page are somewhat vague as they don't tell you in which direction to walk for 3 minutes. So if you're reading this, turn right as you come out of the front entrance of the bus station on to the main street. (Not out the back where the buses are parked) The Yeha Guest house is in a back street running parallel to the main street (and can actually be seen from the main street if you go too far). When you reach the traffic lights, turn right. The river fence should now be on your right. Cross to the left hand side of the road. Take the next left and the Guest house is on the left hand side about 2/3 of the way down the street.

The price was probably pretty good considering that it was a very touristy area, but overall thought the rooms were old and lacking even for back-packers. (Have had better and paid less.) As mentioned, the common room was the best feature about this accommodation and make it much more attractive.

the goof thing about YEHA guest House is the staff, they are very accommodating and always make sure that the stays in their guest house is as pleasant one. One thing more, i think its the only hostel in Jeju where some staff can speak in Filipino.

If i'll be back at Jeju, I'm sure will stay at YEHA GuestHouse.

Kitchen was REALLY nice and the breakfast awesome with toast&jelly, tea, coffee, eggs&bacon..yummee! The facilities were pretty nice and clean and since the guesthouse had just been renovated so it looked really good&fresh. The staff spoke good english and they were very helpful, rooms pretty okay with a small fridge and a fairly large bathroom with a tub. The only complaint I have is about the AC in the room. On one night there were 4 guys sleeping in the room so to keep the room cool and comfortable you should really have more than just a single fan attached to the wall. But then again the room was REALLY cheap. Overall rating is 9. Gamsa-hamnida!
