Cheers Hostel Istanbul is located in a perfect location right in the very heart of the Old City of Istanbul, in Sultanahmet. We are only 1 minute walking distance from the most famous sights like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Underground Cistern and Topkapi Palace, not to mention the Grand Bazaar and many other sightseeing attractions of oriental Istanbul.
Our Istanbul hostel offers a comfortable, clean and budget stay in a warm and friendly atmosphere. In our lounge area with TV and free Internet & Wi-fi access, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or Turkish tea, read, play backgammon or have a good chat with the other international travelers visiting exciting Istanbul.
Our Wintergarden Panoramic Terrace Bar offers breathtaking views overlooking the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Taksim and is open all year long. In the summertime, you can enjoy a refreshing self-mixed Mojito on our bar while sunbathing and relaxing, or in the wintertime, enjoy a hot drink. Make yourself comfortable next to our cozy fireplace and have a glass of wine. We also serve a delicious Turkish breakfast buffet on the terrace.
Our hostel rooms are mostly 6,8 and 10 bed dormitories with individual lockers but we also have a number of budget double rooms, triple rooms, twin-bed rooms and family rooms.
Please note that some properties require a small deposit for a key or padlock to the lockers, although in most instances guests would be able to use their own padlock without charge.
There are common showers and bathrooms on the corridors. Private rooms have air-conditioning and dormitories have fans and all rooms have heating. Linen and towels are included.
Our helpful and friendly reception will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

It ıs located ın an excellent place near all the maın attractıons. Only downfall ıs that ıt ıs dıffıcult to fınd ıt sınce ıt ıs at an alley and many taxıs havent heard of ıt or pretend they dont know where ıt ıs (carefull wıth that...bad eperıence). Internet sıte neads to gıve better dırectıons ın how to get there.
As far as the dorm room, everythıng was almost perfect, but there was only one electrıcıty outlet for a room of sıx, and our door was very squıcky, so ıt woke people up when you try to get ın late al nıght.

Very warmhearted and helpful young staff. Great roof terrace with bar and an amazing view on the colose Hagia Sophia. I can completely recommend to stay here with one drawback: In the our freshly renovated and nice furbished room the ventialtion was missing (yet?). Thus air moisture became unbearable und even walls went wet. I hope they improve that very quickly!

Excellent location, nice breakfast, but some rooms were not ready for guests. They still had to fix some stuff in our room during our stay and in the morning we were not waked by the sound of an imam but by someone using a drill in another room.
We stayed for 5 nights, and it would also have been nice if they came to clean the room at least once, our empty the garbage bin, or change the towels...
Some advantages: free internet, free water, nice bar, great view, right in the middle of a great city 'Istanbul'.
