The best hostel I ever stayed in.
Great location and most of it, Fede the rest of the staff are really welcoming people. All dorms with bathroom and AC, realy great for a Hostel, over a standar hostel. And without forgeting, the Goods vibes.

Welcome to El Viajero Hostels Uruguay & Colombia, the biggest Hostel and B&B network in the best locations of Uruguay (Colonia, Montevideo, Punta del Este and La Pedrera) and of Colombia (Cartagena de Indias and in September 2011 San Andres Island).
Conveniently located in the heart of Punta del Este, three blocks away from the bus station and also from the 'Brava Beach' where the famous 'hand' is downtown main attractions: Gorlero Avenue, The Yacht Port and its never ending nightlife, the lighthouse, and Punta del Este´s most popular beaches: Brava Beach and Mansa Beach.
El Viajero Brava beach, has all the comfort of a Hotel convined with the fun and relaxing atmosphere of a Hostel. Both privates and shared dorms have ensuite bathrooms, heating and air conditioning in all dorms and privates; and TV Cable in all rivate rooms.

1. PRICE WAS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, EVEN MORE THAN A HOTEL.
IT DOES NOT MATCH THE HOSTEL MOTTO: TO STAY IN A LIVELY ATMOSPHERE PLACE FOR A CHEAP RATE.
I STAYED JUST ONE NIGHT AND I CANCELLED THE SECOND ONE. I MOVED TO A THREE STARS HOTEL, IT WAS CHEAPER !!!!!!
I THINK PEOPLE FORM BRAVA BEACH WERE KIDDING PEOPLE ....
2. THEY WANTED ME TO CHARGE THE SECOND NIGHT EVEN MORE THAN THE FISRT !
EVEN THOUGH I HAD BOOKED THRU INTERNET AND I HAD MY RESERVATION RECEIPT, I HAD TO SHOW IT TO THEM IN ORDER NOT TO BE CHARGED THE DOUBLE !
THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE RATE WAS EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE THE SECOND NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE DATES (ALL THE SAME, AS I HAVE ALREADY SAID, I DID NOT STAY THERE, AND I DECIDED TO MOVE).
3. THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY HOT: IMPOSSIBLE TO BE INSIDE THERE, EVEN LESS TO SLEEP.
TO SUM UP, ONE OF THE WORSE HOSTELS OF THE WORLD AT A 4 STAR HOTEL RATE.
YOY SHOULD DO SOMETHING: THIS HOSTEL WILL RUINATE YOUR IMAGE.
