PLEASE NOTE: This is a good downtown neighborhood and some guests passing on L St. see boarded up buildings and get the wrong idea. The buildings have been vacated by developers planning to build a hotel for the Convention Center

The neighborhood is historical, therefore there is not a sign on the building..

Food: Restaurants begin 1 minute walk, and many more in Chinatown 5-7 minute walk

Safeway food store and pharmacy 3 minute walk, for most of your needs.

Closest Metros: Yellow line: Mt Vernon Square-Convention Center (3 minute walk)

Red line: Gallery Place (5 minute walk)

BY BUS: GOOGLE 'CHINATOWN BUS'

Greyhound bus station is some distance from Chinatown.

The drop of locations is in bustling Chinatown and we are a 7-10 minute walk.

By Bus from NY
Drop of in area of Chinatown (7th and H St. NW area).Walk North (up slight hill) on 7th St., Turn right on NY Ave (about 2 blocks). Take 1st left on 6th St. NW. Walk 1 minute to International House of United Tel (1110 6th St. NW) Building with fire escape. There is no sign on building because this is an historical district and signs are not allowed.

From Ronald Regan National Airport.
Take Metro-Yellow line into city (East side of platform) Get off at 'Mount Vernon Square 7th st. Convention Center'. Take escalator to exist.

On reaching street turn right and walk down the hil. Take 1st left on L st. (L St. has boarded up buildings because of future hotel development)l to near end with House with fire escape # 1110. There are no signs because this is an historical district.


By Air from Dulles International Airport
$60 by Taxi or #3.10 by bus (45 min-1 hour ride either means)

Cheapest way: Take City Bus 'Metro' for $3.10 per person from red, white and blue sign where buses stop. Bus Stop is a good walk to the right when you exit the terminal.
Get off at last stop L'enfant Plaza.
Take Metro to 'Mount Vernon Square 7th st. Convention Center'. Take escalator to exist. On reaching street turn right and walk down the hil. Take 1st left on L st. (L St. has boarded up buildings because of future hotel development)l to near end with House with fire escape # 1110. There are no signs because this is an historical district.

By Train
From Union Station, Take Metro Red line and change at Gallery place to the Yellow or Greenline. Go 1 stop to 'Mount Vernon Square 7th st. Convention Center'.
