Me and my friends stayed here for 2 nights. Tsukuba Hotel is the worst hotel i stayed in our entire trip in Japan.
1. Upon check in.... Matsuda San didnt know that we already paid 10% reservation and expects us to pay the full amount. It took 15mins or a little more before he agreed to just charged us the full amount less our down payment.
2. Common bath can only be used in the morning until 830am, and in the evening until 11pm. Matsuda San did not inform us, and did not allow us to use the common bathroom. The signs where in Japanese text.
3. The common toilet at the upper floor is eastern (old style), there is one western style for ladies but the area is very small.
4. Their ensuite room wherein my married friends stayed had a very limited space, even for bath. There were also insect bites when the couple woke up.
5. We requested if we can have our luggage stay until 10pm at night, but Matsuda San said it is not allowed.
I hope you will not make the same mistake as we did.
