Casa Chalia

The value, location, hospitality, helpfulness and breakfasts were exactly what we wanted for our experience in Merida. It is not a three star hotel, but a family run B & B with friendship and kindness served in a large way.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I had a wonderful 5-day stay at Casa Chalia. Linda and Jan were great hosts and provided a comfortable, relaxed and friendly stay, including a varied breakfast every morning . I felt more like a family guest than a traveller. Its location worked well for my needs, with an easy walk to Merida's main plaza, as well as two other parks. I found driving in and out of the city quite easy, mainly due to Jan's accurate directions. I will definitely be back and won't need to search for accommodations in Merida again.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This is a nice and cheap bed and breakfast. Jan (who speaks many languages) and his wife, Rosalinda, are great hosts and will help you with anything you need. We really felt welcomed in Casa Chalia and strongly recommend it. The rooms are small, but nice, clean and comfortable. It's located near from the bus station and not to far from the Zocalo. There is a small extra fee if you want to use the A/C.
