The Treehouse is truly unique. This spacious, island-style, pole-framed timber building is set in rainforest. It has lofty ceilings and a sundeck overlooking the stunning pool area.

The Treehouse Hostel features lofty ceilings and a sundeck overlooking a stunning pool area and spectacular views of the surrounding tropical rainforest.

There are sun lounges, hammocks on shaded verandahs, regular BBQs, a great little library, sound system and board games. We've even got Global Gossip internet so you can stay in touch.

The atmosphere is unmistakably friendly and laid back. With no TV, mingling amongst others is the way of the Treehouse Hostel.

The Treehouse has eight 6-bed dorms - male only, female only and mixed. Three double and one twin room available for 1-2 people. The Treehouse also offers grassy tent pitches and space for campervans.

From Airport: Bingil Bay is 140km South of Cairns or 232km North of Townsville. Follow signs to Mission Beach off the Bruce Highway.

By Bus: The Greyhound, Premier and Oz Experience Bus drop passengers in Wongaling, Mission Beach. Email or phone beforehand with your expected arrival time to be met by the Treehouse courtesy bus operating 9am-6pm.

By Car: From Mission Beach to the Treehouse - Follow the beach road from Mission Beach village 5kms North to Bingil Bay. Drive 1.5kms past the Bingil Bay cafe (the only shop/cafe/bar) and turn left into Frizelle Road (gravel road).

From Cairns to the Treehouse – Turn off the Bruce Highway onto Mission Beach Road. Drive 6kms and turn left onto Bingil Bay Road. Frizelle Road is 7km on the right.

By Train: Nearest station is Tully, 25kms from the Treehouse. Catch the Greyhound or Premier Bus to Mission Beach Bus Station and request the courtesy bus to pick you up.
