We are situated in the historic Crown Hotel, a 16th century coaching inn set in the heart of Glastonbury. It's a unique, vibrant and colourful place to stay whether for one night or longer. With easy access to all the local attractions and the surrounding countryside.
The ancient town of Glastonbury is shrouded in legend and myth. It reputedly hosts the first Christian Church, founded by Joseph of Arimathea, who is said to have buried the Holy Grail at the foot of Glastonbury Tor (a 526ft-high hill which still dominates the landscape today). According to Arthurian legend, Glastonbury, or the Isle of Avalon as it was formerly known, is the burial place of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere.
More recently, the town has become famous for its religious and cultural festivals and the music events, most notably held at Glastonbury Abbey and, of course, the world-famous Glastonbury Music Festival held just outside the town.
The town center itself boasts many shops and restaurants - all with the unique style and atmosphere that is Glastonbury.
Please be aware that the hostel is adjoined to a busy pub, which regularly has live bands and djs, so it will be quite loud and lively from Friday to Sunday until 3am.
Photographic ID is required for check in.

PLEASE NOTE: The hostel rooms, social/kitchen areas are in plans for work & improvements as such there may be some disruption & temporary facilities ongoing - Please bear with us throughout this extended improvement works.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Hostel and Ensuite Rooms are above a great fun and lively pub with loud music, DJ's & bands at weekends with the bar open until 3am.
We also need some form of photo ID - this is required by the local licensing.
Over 18s only in dormitories.
