Guesthouse opened in 2009 with personal and friendly ambiente. Pensión Gárate is situated in a privileged place of Donostia - San Sebastian, located 50 meters from the famous Bahia de la Concha, in the heart of the city. In its environs you can find the most important commercial of San Sebastián. There´s only a few minutes walk to the Harbour´s District, the marvellous Mountain Urgull with a beautiful sight over the Atlantic-Sea and the Old Town with all its leisure and gastronomic offers as Tapas and 'Pintxos'. Close to the Pension you will find the cities biggest and most important car parks. Structure:18 beds, 9 rooms, 1 floors. Built in 1960, the guest-house was totally new made in 2009.Facilities:Central location, Cot, Possibility Extra-Bed, Credit cards accepted, Elevator, Access for handicapped, Hairdryers in rooms, Heating, WI-FI & TV in all rooms, Travel & Sightseeing Informations, Languages: English, German, Spanish, French, PortugueseEstablishment opening dates:All year. Check-in from 9 a.m to 10.30 p.m., access to the rooms from 1 p.m. on. If your arrival is after 5 p.m. it´s necessary to confirm the arrival time via phone or Email. If customer do not cancel 24 hours before arrival the first night will be charged as no-show.

Pension Garate is a friendly place at a very convenient place in the city. Beach and old town only at a stone's throw away. Quality and price are both good, and a very helpful reception. If I had any criticism at all, it would be the fact that there is no door to the balcony and the shower tray is rather high - meaning a big step down. But those are minor things. Recommended !
