The DYS proved to be an agency, rather a property. I thought I was booking a room in the old town, but was placed way, way up in the hills on the edge of the city. It was clear from the comments of some of the others there that they had had the same expectation. It was a reasonable walk into the old town along a lane and down five hundred steps. But it was not a reasonable walk back. Still, the family who own the hostel are nice.

About Dubrovnik Youth Service
Welcome to Dubrovnik Youth Service!
We offer nice, clean and in-expensive rooms in the center of Dubrovnik, inside or near historical city walls. You will not need city bus (all rooms walking distance from historical city walls, please check streets/ location OD SRDJA, PUBLIC GARAGE on google map). ln total, we have 3 houses in or near old town with more than 50 beds (about half rooms are ensuite located inside or very close to historical walls, check pic), good qualities, good locations and prices, high level of hospitality.
Note: owners are living in the guesthouses taking care of the houses
please notice: in low season working only house in old town, for place in house near central bus station please write
Collection from the harbor main bus station is FREE. Our pick-up from the airport is cheaper than taxi, and we can come any time (0-24h)!
On our checking point we provide free parking and internet (in house is not free).
