African Jewel Lodge is themed African, each room named after an African Language, Art from the locals and a charm that can only be felt here. Truly an African experience. AJL caters for private Double rooms, Single rooms, Twin rooms a Dorm room and we also cater for the happy campers (just bring your own tents). The lodge caters for the budget traveller, self catering in a huge kitchen. We offer WIFI in all the rooms, and an internet café for those travelling without technology. The Weather:

Knysna has a moderate climate that makes it the perfect destination all year round. Peak season is in the height of summer in December, but the area is popular with international tourists from September (spring) to April (autumn). The mild winters on the Garden Route ensure sunny and beautiful wind-still days and are often referred to as the 'secret season'. Truth be told, day-time temperatures rival a balmy European summer, with an average winter temperature around 19`C.
