We were exceptionally impressed with this apartment - our best value stay in Croatia. The value for money is what really stood out. The apartment was nice, clean, decently-sized and fully equipped. The owners were very nice, helpful and accommodative. Would happily recommend the apartment to anybody.

About Apartmani Barcot Hvar
Welcome to the Barcot family house that is open through the whole year! We offer private apartments and rooms in the centre of the town of Hvar, only 3 minutes walk to the harbour. From the house there is a magnificent view of the old town and the castel on the hill. We offer two apartments (for 2 people and for 4 people) and 3 rooms with shared bathroom (each double bedded). Kitchens are fully equipped. Pets are welcome.
Hvar is a well-known tourist town with numerous historical and cultural monuments. City walls were built in 13th century, while the famous Hvar theatre from the early 17th century is the first communal theatre in Europe.
Numerous Hvar and Pakleni islands' bays are very attractive and everyone can find there a place for themselves.
The very centre of the town is recommended for an evening stroll or night entertainment.
Studio consists of a bedroom with kitchen and a bathroom with hydromassage. Vast balcony overlooks the town fortress.
APARTMENT 2+2
Consists of a bedroom, kitchen, living room with two beds and a bathroom with hydromassage. Bedroom and living room have an access to the balcony. The apartment is air-conditioned.

Lovely appartment very close to the centre of Hvar Town, a few minutes stroll from the bus station, main town square and ferry quay. Excellent base to stay in Hvar and itself in a quiet area. Room was very comfortable (fan, not aircon) and the host very friendly, we shared shower and kitchen facilities with the two other rooms on our floor. I would definitely recommend and despite Hvar Town being in general more expensive than other rooms on our trip, this room was one of the cheapest (200 k) we stayed in.

Great place to stay, quiet but close to the old town and port (°200m) and anything else what is to be seen in Hvar town. Great value for the money paid. Highly recomend.
The owners were very friendly and the kitchen was well equipped. Supermarket was round the corner next to the bus terminal. 5 minute walk into town and ferry. Very convenient and easy to find, bet directions from thre tourist office in the square.

Directions
The town of Hvar is located on the Island of Hvar. The Island of Hvar is situated opposite of the town of Split, so the fastest way is to take a daily ferry boat or catamarans from Split. Also ferries departing from others Croatians towns (Dubrovnik and Korcula). In summer there are weekly connections from some coastal Italian towns directly to Hvar (Ancona, Pescara and Bari).
If you arrive by airplane (airport is between Split and Trogir), you will have to take a bus from airport to Split main bus station (it takes approx. half an hour driving, the price is around 30HRK). The main bus station and railway station are beside the Split Harbour.

You can arrive in the town of Hvar in two ways:
1. directly to town of Hvar by fast ferry boat ('Katamaran', around 22HRK per person) or
2. to Starigrad town first on the island of Hvar by regular ferry boat ('Trajekt', around 37HRK per person). From Starigrad you take a bus to town of Hvar (about 20 minutes driving, around 15HRK). Arriving in the town of Hvar you will get off on main bus station. Apartments and rooms are only 5minutes walk away. Just ask for the address.
