Stayed 5 nights in a double ensuite room. Looks exactly like the photo on the website. Room is small but comfortable for 2, clean and has a fantastic mountain view. Good location, just opposite the Shilin Night Market and 3 mins walk to the Jiantan MRT station. However, the apartment block the unit is situated in is old and dodgy looking, the lift lobby is in dire need of a good facelift and it gives an uneasy feeling on first impression. All said, would not mind a repeat stay in the same room.

I stayed in Fun Taipei Backpackers on from the 6th to 12 dec 2011. Kevin who is in charge is very friendly and prompt in answering all the questions that i sent via email.
Though the room isn't very big, it's very clean, cosy and it feels like home. It's very near to Jiantan MRT station and Shilin Night market. My friends and I went there almost every day.

Generally, Fun Taipei Backpackers is a really good place for budget travellers. You can certainly see the value of your stay as this place is just so convenient for you to travel around. Besides that, with the amount of money you pay, you actually get all the facilities that makes your stay so convenient. The 7-11 beside the building and the MRT station that is so near are the two best things I like about this accommodation. If I really need to give some negative feedbacks, the only 2 things I hope it will improve are (1) the air con is kinda noisy and poor sound prove from the street, and (2) there is no hook in the bathroom for us to hang our towels and clothes. Overall, I still think it is worth staying at Fun Taipei Backpackers and will recommend to my friends.

I've a very enjoyable stay in Fun Taipei Backpackers. The room was exactly the same as the picture shown. Room was well decorated and the facilities were very good with hair dryer, fridge, TV and etc. It was within walking distance to Jiantan MRT and Shilin night market. There was 2 convenient shops nearby too. The staff in charge, Kevin was very helpful in providing information to us. I'll definitely stay there again next time I go Taipei.

it was a pleasant stay at Fun Taipei Backpackers hostel although we were not too sure where we were heading to at first as our room were located in an apartment where many stayed there. Th apartment itself was old, and the elevator looked pretty worn out so i was worried at the first glimpse of the lobby that led us to our accomodation but when we opened the door, we were dumbfounded by the interior of our stay. It was furnished with adorable furnitures and was very complete in terms of neccesities. There were a kettle, bowls, extra matress and everything a traveler need to keep oneself cosy and comfy. The location of the hostel is also very strategic, 5 minutes walk to Jiantan MRT station and 15 mins walk to Shilini night market so it was uberly convenient for us. Overall, i enjoyed my stay there very much and would definitely recommend this to other backpackers out there.

Ignore the old facade of the building, the room is very well lid and toilet is very clean(but you have to maintain the cleanliness). The location is very convenient, shilin night market is practically outside your window when you look out, the mrt station is also along walking dist. and there are also alot of bus services beside the mrt station to bring you to other parts of taiwan. Our contact person kevin was also very helpful though we only require him to fetch and send us to airport but we are very pleased that he is on time. The only disappointment is i cant seems to find wi-fi connection in the room which is listed in one of the facilities on the web. But I didnt confront it since everything are so good and it didnt really matter. To sum up, it's cheap, good deal, good location, clean and i would definitely go back there again on my next trip to taipei!

The location is very good, it's very near Shihlin Night Market. The acommodation fee is satisfactory and the environment is very clean. I'll stay there again for the next visit.
