It's quite ok, but small and for the time you are staying the room is not be cleaned and towels are not changed. Very close to all the spots though and everything is working and is clean when you arrive.

About Rooms Montalbano
We are a family operated guest house located in the heart of Rovinj. It is believed that Rovinj emerged in the 3rd or 4th centuries. Our guest house is located in the famed old city. Our front door leads you to cobblestone streets lined with restaurants, shops and artists wares. We are minutes away from downtown where you can meet up with your friends at the late renaissance clock tower and decide on what you would like to do for the day. Rovinj is full of possibilities from diving, boating, museum perusing, shopping and our personal favourite, going to the beach where you can sunbathe and take nice refreshing swims in the adriatic.
Our rooms are newly renovated and each come equipped with both shower and bathroom facilities. Each room sleeps two people with the option of a cot available. We also have rooms with kitchenettes available. Rooms with kitchenettes come with a stove and a refrigerator, cutlery and plates are provided.
Our guest house is close to all amenities, beaches, cafes, the local market and ferries. You can ferry to Red Island or the island of Katarina for the day where you can enjoy the island beaches and upon your return choose one of Rovinj's many local restarunts to enjoy a fresh seafood meal.

We had a great holiday in Rovinj. The "Rooms" were in a perfect location, in the beautiful old town 2 minutes walk from the picturesque harbour. Great access to local restaurants and bars (especially in the Old Town - more interesting and better value than the Harbour front restaurants) and close to the plethora of art shops in the old town.
The Rooms were secure, very clean and well kept (better looking than the photo we saw on the internet). Unfortunately we were right at the top of the house, which got pretty hot (a fan,no aircon) in the gorgeous weather we had. But that's our only real gripe.
Price was reasonable, but not an absolute bargain.
But we would certainly stay there again if visiting Rovinj.

Rooms Montalbano is excellently located in the middle of this charming little old town surrounded by the sea! In summertime the rooms under the roof get quite hot, but there is a cooling fan present. Anyway you need to open the little windows and because of the narrow streets every little noise sounds loud, especially the sea gulls do when they start their screaming-concerts around sunrise-time
Despite the short nights I totally fell in love with this guesthouse! And of course, there are plenty of good restaurants, cocktailbars, art galleries and sea-plunges around the corner. Enjoy!

Directions
Rovinj bus station is 5 minutes walk and we will always have someone greet you upon arrival. Rovinj is 30kms away from Pula airport and 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Trieste.
