Private accommodation 'Bruno' is in the part of Split called 'Varo' which is located at the bottom of hill Marjan in the centar of town, it's old part of city with many charming stone houses. That is a very quiet area close to the centre of town, harbour, bus and train station (5 minutes of walk). Next to the the guesthouse are situated highly-historical protected walls of old church St.Luka which was destroyed in the second worldwar. Nearby our guesthouse there are restaurants ('FIFE' famouse cheep fish restaurant), laundryservice, caffes, markets, rent-a-car-boat-bike.

If you book a double room-delux , you will stay in new studio apartment, twopersons, (36 m2) with kitchen, living/sleeping room, bathroom and SAT-TV. Air-conditioned, sea view, fully equiped with everything that guests need. The guests who are going to stay in this apartment for 7 nights, can use big terrace with sea view which is in the house next to the apartmet.

Our doubleroom with bathroom is on the second floor of the guesthouse (20 m2) . You can book it for a single occupancy but it can also accommodate a couple as there is a double bed. There is a bathroom, SAT-TV, air-condition, small fridge and big terrace with sea view.

Hey everyone!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Brunos apartment for a few days. We loved the accomodation! It's situated in the old part of the town in a traditional house only a few minutes away from the harbor and the palace. You cand spend the evening on the terrace looking at the sea and not far away they are a lot of nice restaurants and even a supermarket. Bruno and his wife were very very kind and helpfull and we felt just like visiting some old friends. I warmly reccomend this accomodation to everyone who visits Split. It's a beautiful town at a more beautiful sea and full of nice people :)

Nice place next to the center. A little spartan, but much like all other Croatian places. Great terrace where you can chill was a welcome feature. A good choice if your travelling in a pair. Bruno himself is very friendly and hospitable.

We stayed here in September, Bruno is an hospitable and helpful host and runs a clean and accomodating apartment, you have the use of the patio for breakfast and the room is comfortable. Could do with a few drawers though. I would recommend this to almost anyone as long as a few stairs are not a problem. The Apartment is very close to all the main sights and buses to other sights are close as well. The cost was reasonable and Bruno supplied anything we needed. All in all excellent accomodation.

Our stay in the (I believe it was) double room deluxe was pleasant. Bruno was happy to assist us in locating the place, lending us an umbrella, and giving some information on the area.

The apartment is clean, very new looking and reasonably well equipped. Above all, the location is excellent for exploring the old town. A few minutes of walking lead you to the water front and old town.

We would stay again.

Perfectly pleasant and Bruno was very helpful.
I found it a bit expensive because I was staying on my own and the room rate is the same for one person as it is for two but then that is the same all over Split.
The street does not appear on any map so I had to go in the direction of the hill Marjan and take a chance.
I'm quite happy to recommend it to someone else. It's quite well located for women travellers who don't want to be wandering round the back streets late at night.
Hill Marjan is worth the walk up for the view over the city.

We appreciated the location at Bruno`s.
We booked the appartment for two nights but could only stay one night there. The appartment is really spacious and modern equipped. Moving to the double room was first a little strange. We expected to have a little more facilities within the room but it worked quite fine in the end. The accommodation is located central and having the possibility to sit outside on the big terrace for breakfast was beautiful.

We had an excellent stay at Bruno. It is located literally 20 metres from two of what became our favorite restaurants, and within the same distance you have a small supermarket, Internet access, laundrette etc. The hosts, Bruno and his wife, are truly lovely people, who made us feel very welcome, and are a reason for choosing Bruno by itself. They quickly explained to us the where and how of Split, served us coffee and home made cookies in the morning (and their home made Sherry), and were just great.

The room was more than you would expect at the price. First and foremost, everything was very nice and clean, and there was a TV, air conditioning, a fridge, and bathroom. Only negative thing about the bathroom was that there was no sink. The shower filled this purpose, though, so it did not become a problem. The shower was in a half size bathtub, strange at first, but worked well. There was no Internet at Bruno, but Internet cafe right around the corner. We had access to a terrasse, with sun all day, a glimpse of the ocean just down from the house, and a view of all the nice neighbour houses.

Overall, if you want to stay cheap, in the middle of everything, close to great (and cheap) restaurants, and have truly lovely hosts, Bruno is the place. For the price, I think it's almost unbeatable.

Bruno is a wonderful and helpful host. Location is ideal in the old town surrounded by good local restaurants but less than 10 mins walk to the centre, port and bus station. Thoroughly recommended
