About Bruno
Private accommodation 'Bruno' is in the part of Split called 'Varo' which is located at the bottom of hill Marjan, it's old part of city with many charming stone houses. That is a very quiet area close to the centre of town, harbour, bus and train station (5 minutes of walk). Next to the the guesthouse are situated highly-historical protected walls of old church St.Luka which was destroyed in the second worldwar. Nearby our guesthouse there are restaurants, laundryservice, caffes, markets, rent-a-car-boat-bike.
If you book a double room-delux , you will stay in new studio apartment, twopersons, (36 m2) with kitchen, living/sleeping room, bathroom and SAT-TV. Air-conditioned, sea view, fully equiped with everything that guests need. The guests who are going to stay in this apartment for 7 nights, can use big terrace with sea view which is in the house next to the apartmet.
Our doubleroom with bathroom is on the second floor of the guesthouse (20 m2) . You can book it for a single occupancy but it can also accommodate a couple as there is a double bed. There is a bathroom, SAT-TV, air-condition, small fridge and big terrace with sea view.

This place was truly a blessing. We stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend. And it was in an exellent area in Split near everything. Just next door was a couple of nice breakfast places. But the best thing was the owner Bruno, who even got us a another great room after our tours around the Islands (Split-Hvar-Korcula-Dubrovnik-Split) for one night.
Bruno was a great help in everything you could imagine.
I Would recommend this place to anyone.

The people and the location of Bruno make it the perfect place to stay, especially for those on their first trip to Split. Located in the old town, it is only a few minutes walk to anywhere you might want to go in the city. The bedroom is nice and clean (we stayed in the small room), but the two things that really make "Bruno" what it is are the owners, Bruno Horovic and his wife. They were incredibly friendly, sharing, and intelligent. Though it is not a bed and breakfast, they made us feel at home by making us coffee in the morning, sharing their homemade food and beverage, and sharing wonderful conversations long into the night. Bruno knows when not to be intrusive, but if you want to learn anything about the town or the good places to go (or just have great conversations about movies from the sixties : )), he'll be happy to tell you and give you a couple of books on the subject.
The other great thing about House Bruno is the wonderful terrace and its exquisite view. Near the fisherman's port, one has a view of the Adriatic atop the spacious terrace where Bruno and his wife are happy to share a morning Rakija with you.
My mother and I had a wonderful time there before we island hopped to Hvar, and when we came back they awaited us with some homemade sherry and delicious food. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in the old city. It just feels like coming home.
The only complaint I might have is that there is no sink in the bathroom (in the room where we stayed) but one quickly learns to brush one's teeth in the shower.
