Budget Accommodation Europe Croatia Split Hostels Hostel Ana
2,5 times more expensive than the accommodation offered at the bus station by locals, even a 11 pm. The place was nice, almost clean, quiet and in very good location (although I had trouble to find it - mentioning of "Srebrne Vrata" or marketplace/bazar could help locals to find the place).
Hostel is newly renovated, all our bedrooms, a bathroom is all new as you can see from the attached picture.
We are just steps away from tons of shops, restaurants, bars and Diocletian's Palace.
Our hostel is only a 10 minute walk from the beach, and 3 minutes from the bus/train/ferry.
All our dorms and privates rooms , have 2-6 beds and are equipped with Air conditioning and Security lockers. To top it off, all rooms have an awesome view of the Silver Gate of Diocletian's Palace!!!
- One double room (shared wc)
- One mix triple room (shared wc)
-One mix room 4 beds (shared wc)
-One mix room 6 beds (shared wc)
-One mix room 6 beds just for women (private wc)
The hostel has 2 computers with free internet and in our common room, we have a 110 HD Plasma TV with cable, DVDs.

It is a warm and friendly boutique hostel that welcomes travelers from all over the world.
Everything that Split offers is right under your nose: restaurants, bars, shops, sights, galleries and much more.
Enjoy a friendly, fun and intimate atmosphere for young travellers, hopefully making you feel at Home. Here you will be able to relax in the best ambience and get a good night's sleep on our very comfortable beds.

my first hostel of the trip. My bed was brushed down (instead of a clean sheet?!) Only 2 very small bathrooms and had to wait to use them. Not even a hook to hang up clothes etc!
No alcohol allowed in?!
People were sleeping on the terrace (communal area) also I think.
Very good location and easy to find as it is a 5 min walk from the ferry/bus. Right next to one entrance on the wall around the beautiful old town.
My room had an A/C unit (tube out of an open window), but not all rooms did.
Frederico was very friendly, so it is a good place to meet others/ enjoy an evening get together. Owners were rather reserved, but present.
Good base, I'd stay again, maybe one night.
Kitchen facility, but no lockers, hairdryer or minibar in the room!
This is a Trusted Review. Why?
2,5 times more expensive than the accommodation offered at the bus station by locals, even a 11 pm. I didn't tried other places but I had a very good, quiet sleep. The service was more than helpful and polite. My recommendation.
