The accommodation was in a safe area of Nuevo Verdado. I would recommend this accommodation however it was cold period oft stay and so it was slightly unpleasant during the evening due to the climate being cold .

About Casa Reyes
The house is located in the residential zone of the Nuevo Vedado reserve, surrounded by calm and safe, with abundant vegetation and a great privacy, the location is convenient with bars and restaurants around.
We have 2 rooms with maximum comfort and security, bath, dining room, cook equipped, 2 terraces and garage.
All the points of tourist interest are less than are 15 minutes away from our house, like the Historical center, la Rampa and el Malecon Habanero. We are also a few meters from the Travel agency ViaAzul can that it to transport to any part of the Island.
Location Information
Our Casa is located on calle de la Loma number 12, close to the sea. It is between calle 37 and calle 37 because it’s separated in two parts.
The best way to get to our hostel from the airport José Martí is taking a taxi from this one. The price should not be more than 25CUC.
If you came from the Víazul bus station to take a taxi is also the best way but in this case the price should not be more than 4 or 5 CUC.
We do not recommend the public buses this not a good way of transport here especially if you are carrying any kind of baggage.

The accommodation was in a safe area of Nuevo Verdado. I would recommend this accommodation however it was cold period oft stay and so it was slightly unpleasant during the evening due to the climate being cold .
Distance from old Havana is 5Cuc one-way so can be slightly expensive if travelling every day to the centre of Havana.
English is must to communicate with the owner but bearing mind this is Cuba, the onus is surely on us to be able to speak a little Spanish.
In all the accommodation is fine for the price and highly recommended if you wish to have freedom of the place and to have visitors.
in terms of things to do locally in verdado, I recommend you have something to read of travel into capitolio for excitement.
La Habana hotel is close by bit still a taxi ride unless you want to have a 30 minute walk. Here you will fond muchore to do and salsa bars and night life is ok. Alternatively you can again travel to centre of Havana were you can be with the majority of tourist.
