The Hostel Belægningen is situated in Avedørelejren, (The Camp of Avedøre), a part of the old fortification of Copenhagen, offering clean, safe and comfortable accommodation at affordable rates! (9km from Copenhagen Centre)
Welcome to Hostel Belægningen!
Belægningen belongs to the Municipality of Hvidovre and makes an alternative of cheap overnight accommodation in the neighborhood of Copenhagen. The hostel is established in the former dormitories of the soldiers.
The newly-converted hostel offers all modern facilities. The common area includes a TV room, a kitchenette and an Internet café with free Internet access for guests. There are ample parking spaces, and bicycles can be rented.
Belægningen offers good and cheap accommodation in the middle of a cultural centre in Hvidovre, close to the heart of Copenhagen.

Location Information
By bus:
Take bus 1A from the Central Station of Copenhagen towards Avedoere Station. Get off at Avedoere School, walk straight through the crossing and further 100 m along Avedoere Tvaervej. You will find the entrance to the camp on your right side. Follow the signs to Hostel Belaegningen. You can also take bus 65E from the Central Station towards Avedoere Station. Get off at Avedoere School, go 20 m back and you will find Avedoere Tvaervej on your left hand.
By train:
Take blue S train A from the Central Station towards Hundige/Køge. Get off at Avedøre station. Take bus 133 and get off at the 4th stop right in front of the Avedøre Camp. By foot from the Avedøre Station you have to walk about 1000m down Byvej past the Avedøre market town, turn left on Avedøre Tværvej. About 100m down you will find the Avedøre Camp on your right.
By car
From Storebælt: Take the highway E20 towards Copenhagen. Follow the signs in direction Airport. Take exit 21 going to Hvidovre. At the 3rd stoplight turn left along Brostykkevej which changes its name into Avedøre Tværvej. About 100 m further on you will find the Avedøre Camp on your right. The hostel is located in building no 34.
From north and from Øresund Bridge: Take E20 and follow the same description as above.

After making a booking through a agency and paying the 10% deposit, guest will pay the 90% balance at the Hostel in Cash or in Credit Card.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy is 48 Hours prior to arrival. Inability to cancel in 48 Hours prior to arrival or No Show will be charged 1 night accommodation.

Also, I like to visit the smaller places around the city more than the big cities, so if you are my kind of person, you will love it here... Also, if you have a car, its the perfect place to stay. Its worth the price!

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Transportation to the city good. Great value for your money! Friendly staff! The Hotel Belaegningen could promote the fact that they have bikes for rent and that there is a beautiful beach nearby. More info with regards to where to buy grocery stores would be helpful. All in all a great value for the money! We stayed 6 nights and were very pleased.

In a nutshell: excellent value for your money.
You stay in a quiet area, with very friendly people running the place (they even made some costs at their own expense to help us out...).
Don't expect a fully equiped room, but who needs that if you're only in the youth hostel for sleeping anyway ;-). This place is really perfect to stay if you have your own transport for visiting Copenhagen. You can sleep quietly and if you want to go to the big city it takes you about 5 minutes by car.
I'd recommend this place to anyone who doesn't want to spend too much money on a room full of luxury, but wants to have a good time hanging around in the centre of Copenhagen.
