About Hostel Egon

Hostel Egon is by the Vltava river bank on the site, where the famous expressionist Egon Schiele painted his Krumlov houses. It is situated in an old mysterious building, exactly like those on his oil paintings, not far from the city centre.

It is only a small house, offering two four bed dorms and one 3bed private room, a great breakfast terrace and garden terrace with BBQ above the hostel.

Our programme involves canoe and raft rental for Vltava river and bikes for rent are here too. (you can start directly in front of the hostel doors!!) We will recommend you the trip and explain all you need. We can also arrange horse riding on the nearby farm. More information about boats and bikes you can find on our websites.

Upon your arrival you will recieve a free map and the most precious info, how to survive in Cesky Krumlov!!

Please notice that from September to April check-in is until 7 pm ( 19:00)!!! If you are late, you risk loose a beds.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR ARRIVAL TIME !!!!! When you have troubles and you are early or late, send text message or call 00420 606 609 811 - without exception !! Rarely we can wait one or two hours after check-in, but you have to tell us before and still is not definitive.

The way to the house is to difficult with the description. After 15 minutes way with a lot of baggage around town and cobbled streets we take a taxi (cheap). In the description I miss, that town is on three hills and you have to go three times to the top of an hill and down. Without baggage it is no problem, but at night (information is closed) nobody can help you with the way.
The hostel is dirty! You have a lot of hint-papers how to behavior, but if same people didn't it, nobody clean after them (litter boxes, missing toilet paper, dirty plates and cups). The house have a lot of technical problems. The host is friendly but she did nothing.
Good is: You habe a free parking lot in front of the house.
