This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We stayed at Pension Marienburg in a private double with shared bathroom. It is around 5 blocks away from a metro stop and was pretty easy to find once we figured out the coordinates, as the directions are only given in meters. There was a friendly employee at the desk when we checked in who led who us up to our room. The room was super big (ours had a lovely purple unicorn painted over the bed) with two twin mattresses stuck together, a desk, a television, a wardrobe, and a sofa. The bed was horrible however- it felt like there were blankets simply draped over mattress springs. The shared bathroom was large and clean, with a shower and bathtub, however we were only one of two occupants in the hostel until our last night when we finally discovered how thin the walls are. Six or so drunken German boys wandered in around 5 in the morning, blaring music and partying in the halls, eventually leaving the television on blaring when they finally dozed off around 7 in the morning. Other than that, the other occupants had been sparse and very quiet. For the price, however, this was a pretty good hostel with a 15 minute walk to a metro station, and pretty clean if you can handle sleeping on the mattress.
