Placida Hostel, Split, Croatia

Placida Hostel is a beautiful place for young backpackers and is situated in the old town, which is only 5 minutes by walk from the harbour, train station, airport and bus station. We offer 25 beds in spacious, renovated and beautifully colored rooms!

Why hostel Placida?

Hostel Placida (200 meters sq.) + (130 meters sq.) plus apartments (58 meters sq.) was one of the first hostels in the city and over the years we have gained great experience working with world travelers and have also met great people. In our hostel we offer you 44 beds in spacious and colored rooms. Please note that we offer accommodation only to people under 45 years of age.

The reception and hostel are on the 2nd floor while on the 4th floor in the same building there is Internet cafe where you have cheap internet access and can make international phone calls for 1 and 2 Kunas per minute.

The hostel is ready to help you with everything you need and also recommend where you can go to have a great time to eat, drink and have fun depending on your preferences.

If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please call us or send an e-mail at least 1 day before to confirm your arrival. Please let us know about the time of your arrival in your booking paper or by e-mail if you’re coming late.

Checking out is 10 am.

Check in is at 11:30am.

Tourist tax is not included in the price and is 6kn per person per day.

The cancellation must be made 48 hours before the day of the arrival.

Please be aware that if you ‘no-show’ without advising us before this time, we will have to charge your credit for the first night of your booking.

Rooms are air conditioned, guest can use hair-dryer, and cooker for coffee, tea or breakfast, there is a little shared kitchen and a living room, fridge. Washing machine can be used also on agreement.

Staff will provide you with all the info about the happenings in the city, places to go out or eat tourist info or show you where to go and buy tickets for museums and nearby islands.

Airport is 25 kilometers away from center. If you coming by train, bus or ferry, you need to walk 5 minutes to the Palace.

City is small and easy and best for you that ask somebody where is Zara, National Theatre, or main street Marmontova. When you are there, ask for Splitska Banka - it has the same entrance as the hostel in a big pink building.

Come through the main door and on the second floor you will see the entrance with a note - Hostel.

Airport is 25 kilometers away from the city center. If you arrive by plane you can go by airport bus that goes directly to Split center and costs 30 Kunas (4.1 euro) or we can arrange you a taxi which is 37 euros.
