This hostel is fairly small and is located on the 2nd floor. The rooms were large and clean. Bathrooms and showers were down the hall and both were very clean. There is a common room with TV and kitchen facilities, as well as one computer with free internet access. The location is a couple of blocks from the metro stop/streetcar and a large grocery store. It is an easy walk in the old town/city center and to Wenceslas Square.

This hostel is fairly small and is located on the 2nd floor. The rooms were large and clean. Bathrooms and showers were down the hall and both were very clean. There is a common room with TV and kitchen facilities, as well as one computer with free internet access. The location is a couple of blocks from the metro stop/streetcar and a large grocery store. It is an easy walk in the old town/city center and to Wenceslas Square. I did notice that there are other hostels that are more convenient to the tourist areas of town, but overall this hostel was quite comfortable and I would stay here again.

Directions
Hostel is situated:
- 2 minutes walk from 'Narodni trida' station - underground 'B' line and tram stop
- 2 minutes walk from 'Narodni Divadlo' (National Theatre) tram stop
(both trams stations are for trams no.6,9,18,21,22,23 or night trams no.53,57,58)
This is how to get to Hostel Downtown coming by public transport :
(use a ticket for 20,- CZK and stick it in the machine (in the bus, in the tram or entrance of the subway) - just one time and since that the ticket is valid for 75 minutes during week days, 90 min during the weekend.)
1. From the airport
Take a bus nr. 100 to the 'Zlicin' station. From there take the underground - line B (yellow) -to the 'Narodni trida' station (11 stops).
2. From the main Railway Station ('Hlavni nadrazi')
Take the underground - line C (red) - from the 'Hlavni nadrazi' station to the 'Florenc' station (1stop), there change for line B (yellow) and go 3 stops to 'Narodni trida' station.
3. From 'Holesovice' Railway Station
Take the underground - line C (red) - from the 'Nadrazi Holesovice' station to the 'Florenc' station (2 stops), there change for line B (yellow) and go one stop to the 'Narodni trida' station.
4. From 'Florenc' Bus Station
Take the underground - line B (yellow) - from the 'Florenc' station to the 'Narodni trida' station (3stops).
At the 'Narodni trida' underground station take the escalator (there is only one), outside turn left and walk out of the vestibule. You will find yourself standing at a tram stop. Turn right and follow the tram lines.
Turn first left (still following the tram lines) and after about 100 meters you will see the hostel on your right hand side. Yellow sign Hostel Downtown. Please ring the bell outside.
