This hostel is as basic as you get. I wouldn't call it nice, but it is clean and safe (which in 11 months of traveling is the most important) and the owner is very helpful and informative, so it's good value for the price. We should have listened to her though when she told us not to do a day trip to Torres Del Paine. She organized the bus to pick us up on her doorstep at 7:30am on its way to TDP, but it then spent the next 50 minutes picking up other people so we didn't even get to the entrance of TDP until 11am. Went through orientation, paid more money to take a shuttle to the trailhead, then power hiked it to the Torres Mirador, which after hiking around Fitz Roy in El Chalten, Argentina it was beyond disappointing. It cost USD $80/ person for 7 hours on a bus and a 5 hour hike.
If your okay with basic, this is a good spot to stay when passing through! It worked for us!
