Our hostel is situated IN THE CENTER OF PRAGUE

/ DISTRICT 2/ in a historic building with great facilities. It takes just one stop by metro or 15 minutes on foot to THE OLD TOWN SQUARE - CITY CENTER.

THE U Melounu hostel - At the Watermelon is a 'cheap hotel' open all year round with 24 HOUR reception. Our staff will try to help you with all your questions about Prague / we can order for you by phone shuttle or taxi / cab/ back to the airport/.

We provide accommodation for individuals backpackers, schools, groups, couples or families.

The hostel has - private rooms WITH OWN bathroom (2-6 beds),

WITH COMMON bathroom (2-6 beds),

rooms in apartments (two separate rooms are sharing one bathroom)

and DORMS.

All rooms are nice and comfortable with renovated clean bathrooms.

REASONABLE PRICES - BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE,

served from 8 A.M. - 11 A.M.

Lounge room with cable TV is at the breakfast room.

Coffee machine (latte, espresso, chococino, cappuccino)

For all extras - you can pay in EUR. Payments for accommodation in EUR coming soon....

By the way A.EINSTEIN spent plenty of time at one faculty which is around

the corner from us - it was during his stay in Prague 1911.

From the metro station I.P.Pavlova (red line / C)

after you get off the main escalator take the exit on left - walk a few metres to traffic lights on SOKOLSKA street - cross the road and turn left. Then take the first turning right onto NA BOJISTI street and at the street s end turn left onto KE KARLOVU and walk straight on. The hostel is no.7 on your right side. Be welcome at Hostel U MELOUNU.

From the Airport (Letiste Praha-Ruzyne)
We recommend this company AAA taxi - from Prague just dial 222 333 222 they speak English, you can order taxi by phone.

They ll come in 10-15 minutes to pick you up. Price with this company is about 600,- czk.

There is also shuttle service company - CEDAZ - you can go with them, they have little bit lower prices then taxi because you share a minibus with other people.

Or if you take a cab in front of arrival hall on the street, before you get in the car ask for the price, because some companies or independent taxis are very expensive.

About your return way to the airport ask at the reception desk. We can order a taxi cab for you by phone. They usually come in 10 - 15 minutes.

take bus 119 and go to the final station 'DEJVICKA' - then take the metro to station MUZEUM, change the line A to red line C and go to I.P.Pavlova - then follow the direction above.
