About The Courtyard Xiao Yuan Hostel

We are located in the central of Beijing. The feature of the hostel are Traditional Chinese courtyard style and the view of historical Beijing Hutong.

There are some different transportation options for you to get to our hotel .

1 Buy airport express

Take the airport express to the DongZhiMen (东直门，25RMB) than take the bus No.24(1 RMB) and get off at the YanYueHuTong(演乐胡同) bus stop ，walk along with the main road for about 3 minutes and cross the road into an alley when you find a crossroad. Or you take the subway line 2 at DongZhiMen station and get off at ChaoYangMen (朝阳门)and exit from B ,than it will take you 8 minutes to get to our hotel .

2 From BeiJingWest Train station

Take the bus 109 from the beijing west train station and get off at the ChaoYangMenNanXiaoJie (朝阳门南小街)bus stop ,it takes you 5 minutes walk to our hotel

3.From BeiJing South Train station

Take the subway line 4 from the beijing South station and transfer to line 2 at XuanWuMen(宣午门) subway station and get off at ChaoYangMen （朝阳门），exit from B and it takes you 8 minutes walk to get to our hotel.(check it out from the map)

4.From the BeiJingTrainStation

Take the bus 24 at beijing train station and get off at the YanYueHuTong bus stop , you need to walk along with the main road for about 3 minutes and cross the road when you find the crossroad and turn into an alley about 10 meters

If you take a cab to our hotel ,you can show this chinese address to the taxi driver.

In case the driver will overcharge you ,call us or ask for the taxi driver call us

we can talk to the taxi driver how to get to our hotel.

Or you can choose our airport pick up service which is 200RMB for 1-3 people or 300RMB for 4-6 people.

reading the reviews posted by the travellers about the guesthouse, I was kinda disappointed during my stay there. The staff were indifferent to your requests, and the wifi did not work in the room at all. The good thing is no one seems to care when you are coming or leaving, so that gives you a bit of privacy. And there are almost no foreign tourists staying there, almost all the guests are from Mainland China.

I had a good experience at this hotel. It is in a bustling hutong with lots of convenient shops (small groceries, laundries, restaurants). I paid 30 USD/night for a single. The hotel is newly decorated in old China style. This is both good and bad. The good is that it is beautiful and immaculate. The "hardwood" floors and silk fabrics are nice touches. The bad is that I could still smell the outgassing of the plastic finishing of the floor and furniture. I may be oversensitive to that and it might not even be noticed by others. The rooms are situated around a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served in the mornings. Breakfast is an additional 30 yuan. It is a small buffet of fruits, veges, juice, various breads, toast (with butter and jam) and congee. There is a small espresso machine for coffee. After breakfast some guests come here to work on their computer or read the newspaper. In the afternoon someone was playing the guzheng (like a zither). With the open air, a water fountain and a leafy tree, together with the beautiful music it was just enchanting. The rooms are air-conditioned and there is free wifi. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Very charming place.

Worn out travelling with 16 others for 3 weeks I needed space for me and time to reflect and relax - discovered it would be a big holiday when I was to arrive in Beijing - so asked a mate in the UK to set up a good value room -

I was thinking it would be shabby and smell -

My budget is tight and I do want to keep seeing the sites!

But wow what a brilliant place to stay

Calm peaceful easy access great sites and sights

Hungry - no problem
Thirsty - no problem
Need a massage - no problem

4 nights later and I was fully refreshed and ready to take the long haul to Japan.
